The Managing Director of Food Classics, Ajith Weerakoon is a culinary mastermind with a true passion for the hospitality industry. With the ambition to experience the world and its cuisines, Ajith has trained and served in top-notch hotels in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Dubai, and Australia. He has mastered the art and quality of food under the supervision of reputed international chefs and achieved the first-milestone of his career at the Hilton as Sous Chef in Banqueting.
His work as a hospitality trainer has been enhanced by his academic excellence in obtaining a Diploma in Hospitality Management, a Bachelor of Business, and a Master of Business Administration and expanding his career as the executive chef at the university house at Australian National University. He has obtained great experience directing his own kitchen as the Chef de Cuisine at RACV City Club, one of Australia’s most prominent private clubs.
As a result of Ajith’s 20 years of experience working in the hospitality industry, he founded Food Classics, a catering business that provides a range of services, including weddings, corporate events, private catering, party planning, hospitality consulting, training, and cooking classes.
